Olen Thompson

Olen grew up in the Upper Nueces and Sabinal Canyons, then earned 19 years of banking experience in the Houston area before returning to Hondo to be closer to family. The past 26 years in Medina County have made him realize the true benefits of community banking and all it does for those it serves.

Breanne Granberg

Breanne began her banking career in her hometown and over the last 20+ years has had the opportunity to serve several Medina County communities as part of the community banking family.

Michelle Sowa

Michelle moved back to her hometown in 2014, where she began her banking career as a Custom Service Representative.  Over the past decade, she has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility by demonstrating strong leadership and expertise.  She is passionate about efficiency and building effective processes that support both employees and customers.  As Chief Operations Officer, she provides strategic leadership and helps guide the organization toward continued growth and excellence.  She is proud to serve the community she calls home.

Kaci Klaeger

With over a decade of banking experience and 20+ years in customer service, Kaci is passionate about community banking. She is dedicated to providing exceptional service, building strong customer relationships and training future banking leaders. Kaci also enjoys serving her community from educating youth on financial literacy to volunteering at local events. Whether in the bank or in the community, Kaci leads with heart, integrity, and a passion for making a meaningful difference.

Oscar Contreras

Oscar began his banking career in Hondo in 2004 as a courier. Over the last 20+ years he has worked in numerous areas of the bank such as the teller line, new accounts services, deposit operations, security, audit operations, BSA and now oversees the compliance function of the bank as the Chief Compliance Officer.

Leah Garrett

In her 31 years of community banking, Leah Garrett has worked in all areas of the banking industry including, vault, teller, ATM operations, new accounts, payroll, auditing and finance, physical security, and fraud. Leah specializes in fraud and debit card loss prevention. Leah lives in Lubbock and works remotely from Hondo.

Max Bales

Max began his IT career in 2018 as an IT Specialist with the Hondo ISD before joining the bank in 2021 as IT Officer. A Hondo native, he is proud to support quality local banking through his focus on operational efficiency and security. Max holds multiple industry certifications and stays current on emerging technologies and evolving regulatory requirements.

Annette Vordenbaum

Annette was born and grew up in Medina County.  Her career in banking and finance began 27 years ago.  She started in Commercial Banking working in different areas of back-office management.  In 2007 she left the larger bank and started working in Hondo. She has spent time in numerous areas including accounting, loan administration and investments.  

Ashley Anaya

Ashley has been in banking for more than a decade and understands the ins and outs of credit. She is a UTSA alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in business finance and a 2022 SW Graduate School of Banking Graduate. She started her career in banking by underwriting and processing loans, later progressing to credit analysis and has now been in a position of management within the credit department for the last several years. She takes pleasure in serving the community that she has grown up in.

Julia Kraemer

Julia was born and raised in Medina County and has spent the last 15 years proudly serving as a community banker. Julia started off as an Administrative Assistant and has worked her way into the HR role. She is passionate about her day-to-day duties dedicated to ensuring that the Bank can meet its objectives by having the right workforce in place. Julia assists management with employee relations and promotes a positive and team-oriented work environment. Julia enjoys helping with community events through various organizations and plays a vital role in encouraging employees to be active in their own communities. Her friendly and welcoming nature is always ready and willing to assist you with your employment needs.
